Side Hustle: Real Estate Photography | Kirk Voclain

Great photography is super important to real estate agents, but ultimately it all comes down to price. So, for that reason, I decided to go with the “volume photography” concept. In the volume world, you usually are priced considerably lower and thus rely on lots of volume to make a profit. In my real estate photography, the most popular plan that I sell is the $99 plan. It is very affordable and as a result, I am always busy. For the $99 price, the only restriction is that I take only 12 images. That’s it! Exactly what images I take is up to the agent. But 12 images is the perfect number for the typical 3-bedroom, 2-bath homes in my area. To do this type of photography you will need a few key pieces of equipment. The first is a super wide-angle lens. You can get away with 16mm, but I personally use a 14mm prime lens.
