Occasionally, when you’re working on a complex mask such as in sky replacement, it can be helpful to temporarily invert the mask while viewing it (see tip 3). Press Command-I (PC: Control-I) to invert the mask. It would of course give you the opposite effect of what you eventually want so you can’t leave it that way, but it can be helpful to look at the mask and spot areas that still need some work. Make note of those areas (or paint on them) and then press Command-I (PC: Control-I) again to get the mask back the way you want it.
