Posing Tips & Tricks for Seniors | Jaimy Ellis
7. BE CONFIDENT
This is the last tip for achieving unique poses with natural expressions, and probably the most important in becoming a Pose Boss. If you take long pauses and linger while trying to pose, the senior will lose confidence in you and feel awkward in front of the camera and unsure about how the photos will turn out. But if you exude confidence they will feel like there is no way they could look bad because you are so knowledgeable about your craft, giving them the freedom to feel great about themselves and boost their self- confidence. You might not feel like you know what you’re doing at first, but practice makes perfect. If a pose isn’t working, snag a couple clicks and switch it up. If you feel like you are struggling, take a minute during outfit changes to look at inspiration. Your client will feel beautiful and like they are rocking the shoot, which in turn will lead to better expressions and ease in front of the camera.
